My thoughts while driving with the train:
Dreams and goals. Everybody has them. Big and small. Some can be created in a matter of a second, while others just need more time.
And for that we need the most important thing. Patience. It gives us strength to never quit, even at times when 'tides get too rough' for sailing our ships.
But before the sailing we must first put our feet into the water. Some quit already at doing that. At the very beginning. Some on the half way and some go beyond that. They go beyond the most common reason of quitting. Which is fear.
Fear of what is on the other side of the door, or what the tides might bring. Instead of making a step forward we create dozens of different stories of what might happen. MIGHT happen.
That is our mind tricking us. It feels like our minds get scared while hearts just want to surrender.
But when you quieten the mind or trick it so it doesn't have time to think. That's when magic happens. That's when we surrender. The doors open. The sailing gets smooth.
Just remember the last spontaneous thing you did and how much fun you had. Parties and trips or projects that happened so fast there was no time to think, you just went for it.
When our mind gets time to analize or in other words - we think too much - that's when we stop. We freeze. The doors are closed. We rather 'stay safe' and have 'a groundhog day' kind of a movie experience, rather than having fun. We rather stay at a place where dreams are dreamt, but not created.
Of course, truth is, not all the things on the other side of doors are good and some seas are not nice to the sailor. But even bad experiences bring treasures. They brings us wisdom and sometimes even bigger opportunities.
So knock hard on the doors of your goals, dreams, wishes and desires. Sail you ships of dreams into an open sea. If doors won't open and if there will be no promised land at your sea, knock or sail harder. One day they will open and one day your ship will come to the right harbour. Surrender.
There you will find another door to open and another and another. And again you will wish to go back to the sea. It keeps on going. With patience open all those 'locks' called FEAR. And may patience be a compass at your sea.
A.P.
